Zoom Integration Guide

Learn how to add, use, and remove the Zoom integration in TaskCal.

Overview

TaskCal integrates with Zoom to let you create and manage Zoom meetings directly from your tasks and calendar events. When you schedule a task or event that needs a video call, TaskCal can automatically create a Zoom meeting and attach the join link.

Adding the Zoom Integration

Step 1

Open TaskCal at taskcal.online and sign in to your account.

Step 2

Navigate to Settings by clicking the gear icon in the sidebar.

Step 3

In the Integrations section, click "Connect Zoom".

Step 4

You'll be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Review the permissions and click "Allow" to grant TaskCal access.

Step 5

You'll be redirected back to TaskCal. The Zoom integration is now active — you'll see a "Connected" status in Settings.

Using the Zoom Integration

Creating a meeting from a task

  1. Open any task or create a new one.
  2. Click the Zoom button (video camera icon) in the task editor.
  3. A Zoom meeting will be created automatically with the task's title and scheduled time.
  4. The meeting join link will appear in the task — click it to join the meeting.

Creating a meeting from a calendar event

  1. Create or edit a calendar event.
  2. Toggle the "Add Zoom Meeting" option.
  3. Save the event — a Zoom meeting will be created and the join URL will be attached.

Permissions used

TaskCal requests the following Zoom permissions:

Removing the Zoom Integration

Option A: From TaskCal

Step 1

Go to Settings → Integrations.

Step 2

Click "Disconnect Zoom".

Step 3

Confirm the disconnection. TaskCal will delete your stored Zoom tokens. Existing meetings created through TaskCal will remain in your Zoom account.

Option B: From Zoom

Step 1

Visit the Zoom Marketplace — Installed Apps.

Step 2

Find TaskCal in the list of installed apps.

Step 3

Click "Uninstall". This revokes all access tokens and removes the integration.

⚠ Note: When you remove the Zoom integration, TaskCal will no longer be able to create or manage meetings on your behalf. Existing meetings already created will not be deleted from your Zoom account.

Troubleshooting

Meeting not created

Ensure your Zoom account is still connected in Settings. If the connection expired, disconnect and reconnect Zoom.

Authorization error

Try disconnecting and reconnecting Zoom. If the issue persists, check that you're using a Zoom account with meeting creation permissions.
