TaskCal ("we", "our", "us") operates the TaskCal application available at taskcal.online. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using TaskCal:
- Account Information: Email address and display name when you sign up via Google OAuth or Zoom OAuth.
- Task & Calendar Data: Tasks, events, calendar entries, and related metadata you create within the app.
- Zoom Integration Data: When you connect your Zoom account, we access your Zoom profile (name, email) and create/manage meetings on your behalf. We store Zoom OAuth tokens securely to maintain the connection.
- Device & Usage Data: Browser type, access times, and pages viewed for analytics and troubleshooting purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the TaskCal service, including task management and calendar features.
- To create and manage Zoom meetings when you request meeting integration.
- To synchronize your data across devices.
- To communicate with you about service updates or support requests.
- To improve our application and user experience.
4. Zoom Data Usage
When you authorize TaskCal to access your Zoom account:
- We request only the permissions necessary to create and manage meetings on your behalf.
- We do not access your Zoom recordings, chat messages, or other Zoom data beyond what is needed for meeting creation.
- Zoom OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are used solely to interact with the Zoom API on your behalf.
- You can revoke Zoom access at any time from your Zoom account settings or within TaskCal.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With Zoom, as necessary to provide meeting integration functionality.
- With Google, as necessary for authentication via Google OAuth.
- If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage of OAuth tokens, and secure database access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Revoke third-party access (Google, Zoom) at any time.
9. Children's Privacy
TaskCal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
